ABP, Sheepshank Sculpture - Hull, UK

In 2015 ABP commissioned a set of sculptures to be designed and created for a new public walkway that they were having made at their Hull port. I worked alongside Hull artist Holly Lawson and produced a 3D concept design from the 2D sketches she submitted. I was asked by ABP and the Artist to work on this project and produced CAD/CAM designs for manufacturing, and 3D renderings for Hull Daily Mail to use to publicize the sculpture. This was due to the fact that ABP's in house CAD team as well as an external metal merchant/fabricator could not produce the required files and designs.

The sculpture was erected in April 2016 and is now visible from not only the footpath, but as the sculpture stands 9 Metre's tall, it is also visible from the nearby dual carraigeway, Hedon Road.

The sculpture is titled 'Sheepshank' and was produced using mandrel bent stainless steel tube, cut and welded into place, with a concrete filled section placed underground for structural support.
